Annual haunted house in the historic Jail in Georgetown with all proceeds benefiting Williamson County Brown Santa.
Event Details
Williamson County Brown Santa, along with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, is proud to announce the 7th annual Nightmare on Jail Hill. The event will be on October 16, 17 & 23, 24 from 7pm - 11pm each night. The event is located at 312 Main Street in the historic jail in Georgetown.
The jail housed prisoners from 1889 through 1990, including serial killer Henry Lee Lucas, and is reported to be haunted. Partial images of the legs and feet of a ghost have been captured by the TV show Ghost Hunters on the second floor. The natural setting of the jail’s narrow hallways and rustic appearance blends with the decorated cells and costumed volunteers to provide an unforgettable, haunted experience for all who choose to attend.

*The historic jail is NOT handicapped accessible. The tour will require climbing stairs and walking in dim lighting for approximately 20 minutes, so please plan accordingly.
