Grupo Fantasma has been praised as one of the most important independent acts in the Latin genre and has continually defied expectations to create one of the most unique musical voices to come out of the United States in the last decade. In 2011, they garnered further acclaim by winning a Grammy (their second such nomination) for their self–produced release El Existential.
Superfónicos fuse Colombian funk and Caribe soul bound together by an advocacy for peace and unity through therapeutic dance.
Continental Drift is an energetic 9-piece from Austin that draws its biggest inspiration from 70's Afrobeat, 60's South American music, and deep psychedelia from around the globe. They just released their debut vinyl LP 'The Tide,' with two songs produced by Adrian Quesada (Brownout, Echocentrics, formerly of Grupo Fantasma, Ocote Soul Sounds), and one featuring Alex Maas (The Black Angels).
CAPYAC is a surreal dance act formed in 2014 which is made up of one half swamp baby (P. Sugz), one half agave plant (Potion). CAPYAC are now known for their improvisatory nature of their live show. The band got a lot of attention for their first EP, Movement Swallows Us, as well as hit singles “Speedracer”, “Talk About” and “Fascination”. More recently they released their first full-length album, Headlunge.
