The First Tee of Greater Austin (TFTGA) hosts the annual More Than A Game Captain’s Cup Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday, November 20, 2017 at UT Golf Club. This year’s tournament features unique hole experiences from local vendors on each tee box. The annual golf tournament, in conjunction with the More Than A Game Party on November 19, 2017, serves as the organization’s largest fundraiser.
TFTGA provides educational programs to area youth that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. The organization focuses on nine core values – honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment – which can be applied on the course, at home, and at school. More than 1,000 children enrolled in local First Tee programs last year alone, and one hundred percent of them needed some level of subsidy.
