Over the past year our Christmas Elves have been busy preparing for the 2018 German-Texas Christmas Market!
Event Details
We listened to your feedback and are happy to say we are able to give you what you asked for: MORE SPACE for merchandise, additional check out stations and room to spread out and enjoy. Not only did we double our market space by expanding out our lot next door, we have new Christmas huts and we’ve remodeled our outdoor stage into a Christmas barn.
With these changes plus you (our members and guests) we hope to have a fun, relaxed and magical German Christmas experience.
GTHS MEMBERS: will get the opportunity to “SKIP THE LINES” completely and shop early on Wednesday, November 28th (11am to 4pm) and on Thursday, November 29th (11am until 7:30pm) (Wednesday is not tax free / Thursday is tax free. No live music or food will be served those days)
Not a member? Our membership starts at $35 for individuals and $50 for families. We will have membership forms available for you at the door or you can register online at www.germantexans.org/membership
IMPORTED ITEMS are from the Erzgebirge: Pyramids, Schwibbogen, Smokers, Candles, handblown Ornaments, hand carved ornaments, Lebkuchen from Nuernberg’s Lebkuchen Schmidt, Advents Calendars, German Souvenirs and much more.
On December 1st will be our official CHRISTMAS MARKET open to all. Members or not.
FOOD / DRINKS: We know shopping makes you hungry. We will have Schaller's Stube Sausage Bar on the grounds who serve delicious German Sausages, Sauerkraut and Pretzels. And with sausages you need beer. Our beer hall will be stocked with German beer!
A Christmas Market is not authentic if it does not come with Gluehwein, Gingerbread Cookies and Stollen. Our Stollen is baked from a traditional German recipe by The New World Bakery, Inc.
ENTERTAINMENT: Sunshine Willi Stump Band will entertain you with German music and Christmas Carols. Kids will be entertained by Mr. Rudy and by appearances from St. Nicolas.
