On May 5-6, Fiestas Patrias of Austin will present their 7th Annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at Fiesta Gardens Park just outside of Downtown Austin.

This two-day family-friendly fiesta is ideal for Austin residents and visitors alike looking to celebrate this annual Mexican holiday.  The festival will feature a variety of Tejano and Conjunto bands playing traditional Mexican music.  Headlining the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta will be seven time Grammy award winner Jimmy Gonzalez y Grupo Mazz as well as Gary Hobbs on Saturday, May 5.

On Sunday, the Fiesta will host an all-day accordion jam fest featuring Joel Guzman y Sara Fox, Flavio Longoria, Henry Zimmerle, Los Pinky's, Los Texas Wranglers, and the University of Texas Cojunto Band, and many more.

The 2012 Cinco de Mayo Fiesta will have food vendors on hand serving Authentic Mexican culinary delights as well as traditional festival food like hamburgers, barbecue brisket, hot and spicy chicken wings, and corn on the cob.

Mexican food vendors will be serving up traditional meals like cornmeal gorditas, tacos, fajitas, and more.

Best of all, the Fiestas Patrias 2012 Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is FREE to attend.  Head out to Fiesta Gardens Park on Saturday, May 5 or Sunday, May 6 and celebrate Cinco de Mayo right in Austin.
