15 hours ago 4-star DT Josiah Sharma names Texas in top seven schools
Brandon Huffman, 247Sports Longhorns in the mix for the top defensive tackle from the state of California. The defensive tackle position has been a popular topic for the Texas Longhorns here recently, but that discussion has centered around the transfer portal. On the high school front, Texas received some good news from an out-of-state priority recruit. Four-star Folsom (CA) defensive tackle Josiah Sharma announced he had narrowed his recruitment down to seven schools. The Longhorns were among those to survive the cut for Sharma, as they continue to remain in the mix for his services. Folsom (Calif.) defensive lineman Josiah Sharma named his top seven on Monday and broke down with @247Sports his top seven https://t.co/aC4tRx8DJg pic.twitter.com/VeE70iPTlv— Brandon Huffman (@BrandonHuffman) April 22, 2024 Alabama, Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah, and Washington rounded out Sharma’s top seven, which indicates he will be leaving the Golden State to play college football. Sharma was previously committed to Washington but re-opened his recruitment following the coaching change that landed Kalen DeBoer in Tuscaloosa to take over for Nick Saban following his retirement. pic.twitter.com/vWhg7qKmId— Josiah Sharma ( Suga ) (@josiah_sharma) January 27, 2024 With the summer visit window approaching, Sharma currently has three official visits scheduled to Alabama (June 21st), Texas ( June 7th), and Washington (May 11th). Sharma’s official visit this summer will be his second trip to Austin this year after making an unofficial visit earlier in the spring. This will be an interesting recruitment to monitor given that proximity to home doesn’t appear to be an issue. Texas will have to overcome both Alabama and Washington having a leg up in this recruitment due to the fact they have more time invested from the aspect of a relationship. But the fact that Sharma visited earlier in the spring and immediately setup an official visit is definitely an encouraging sign if you are looking for data points.

17 hours ago Texas bounces back to take series against TCU
Sara Diggins/American-Statesman / USA TODAY NETWORK In a familiar trend, the Longhorns dropped the weekend series opener before recovering to win the final two games. For the six straight series, the Texas Longhorns dropped a weekend series opener. For the fourth time in those six series, head coach David Pierce’s team bounced back to final the final two games and take the series. By taking two of three games from the TCU Horned Frogs at UFCU Disch-Falk Field during “Made in Austin Weekend,” the Longhorns also recovered from Tuesday’s embarrassing 17-9 loss to the Vaqueros in Austin, the season’s second inexcusable loss in this up-and-down season for Texas. The bats failed to show up for the Longhorns on Friday to support right-hander Max Grubbs, who was excellent in 6.1 innings, scattering eight hits and allowing two runs while tying his career high with five strikeouts. Grubbs allowed one of those runs on two doubles in the first inning, then held the Horned Frogs scoreless until the sixth inning, when a triple and a single drove in the second run for TCU. The Horned Frogs added some insurance with one run in the eighth inning against right-hander Andre Duplantier and two runs, one unearned, against left-hander David Shaw in the ninth inning to win 5-0. Texas didn’t record a hit until the fourth inning against left-handed TCU ace Payton Holle, who gave up four hits with two walks in seven innings, and only managed five for the whole game, two by third baseman Peyton Powell. Because the Horned Frogs were able to turn two double plays, the Longhorns only stranded four runners in the entire anemic performance in the batter’s box. Saturday’s 7-0 victory showed much more resolve by the home team, which won 7-0 with the help of a five-run second inning and a two-run third inning that accounted for all the runs scored in the entire game. During the decisive second inning, right fielder Will Gasparino, first baseman Casey Borba, shortstop Jalin Flores, and third baseman Peyton Powell each had RBI singles with Flores driving in two runs on his knock to left field. In the third, Borba doubled home catcher Kimble Schuessler and left fielder Max Belyeu. BANG. @CaseyBorba doubles home @BelyeuMax and @KimbleSchuessl1 with two outs to make it 7-0 Texas in the 3rd!#HookEm pic.twitter.com/Lkj6dejCIp— Texas Baseball (@TexasBaseball) April 20, 2024 Borba finished the game with three of the eight hits by the Longhorns, along with three RBI. On the mound, left-hander Ace Whitehead and right-hander Cade O’Hara combined for the shutout with Whitehead allowing three hits over six innings and O’Hara allowing two hits over the final three innings. Whitehead is now 4-0 on the season with the Longhorns winning all five of his starts. With the series hanging in the balance on a beautiful, cool spring afternoon in Austin, Texas elbowed past TCU 2-1 in a game that felt like a weekend series opener except for the Horned Frogs using four pitchers. Right-hander Lebarron Johnson Jr. contributed to that Friday feel with his longest outing since pitching seven innings against Baylor a month ago, going 6.1 innings with one run allowed on three hits and four walks with seven strikeouts. Johnson continued to struggle some with his command with those four walks, a hit batter, and the lone run he allowed scoring on one of his two wild pitches, but he did stay around the zone enough to be effective. In relief, right-hander Gage Boehm pitched 2.2 innings for his fourth save, walking two batters but holding the Horned Frogs without a hit. All of the scoring came in the second inning when TCU took the lead on the wild pitch by Johnson before Texas led off the bottom of the inning with designated hitter Kimble Schuessler drawing a full count walk and advancing to second on a walk drawn by catcher Rylan Galvan. Then first baseman Casey Borba scored all the runs that Texas ended up needing with a two-run double to left center. ATTA BORBS!@CaseyBorba welcomes the new pitcher with a 2-run double! Horns lead, 2-1! pic.twitter.com/nslXXhIpN4— Texas Baseball (@TexasBaseball) April 21, 2024 At 11-7 in Big 12 play, Texas is in a three-way tie for second place with Oklahoma State and West Virginia with a home game against UT Arlington and a road trip to first-place Oklahoma looming this week.

Title: Extremely Disappointed with WindowTent's Lack of Professionalism and Customer Service I recently reached out to WindowTent for a quote, but my experience was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. When I called, the person who answered simply said, "What's up?" without any semblance of professionalism or willingness to assist. Despite this, I decided to visit the store as advised, only to find it closed despite arriving two hours before the stated closing time. The lack of communication regarding their closure was frustrating, to say the least. Upon returning the following week, I encountered further issues with their inconsistent business hours. It seemed as though they operated on a whim, with little regard for their customers' time or convenience. Even after scheduling an appointment and making arrangements to be there on time, I arrived to find out that the person I had scheduled with wasn't even present. The lack of accountability and consideration for customers' time is unacceptable. Despite expressing my frustration, I was met with excuses and attempts to shift the blame onto me. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customers is deeply disa
