This is the 6th annual event that raises funds to provide school supplies to homeless students in the Austin area. About 5000 students in the Austin area are homeless. Last year enough funds were raised to help over 1000 of them.

Bollywood meets Borscht Belt is a fun, family-friendly, multicultural celebration, co-sponsored by Hindu Charities for America and Jewish Community/Shalom Austin. Event date is April 29th, 2018, 4:00pm at Dell Jewish Community Campus, 7300 Hart Lane, Austin TX 78731.

This year our chief guests is Dr. Royce Avery, Superintendent of Manor ISD. We also expect representation from Houston Council General’s Office.
Come be a part of this important event to support homeless students in our community while enjoying music, food, and entertainment! This year’s theme is World Dance Showdown and you will be treated to dances from around the world along with a delicious Indian dinner and Jewish desserts. Enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of different cultures while helping local schoolchildren!
