Austin Traditional Jazz Society presents Ron Fink & the Rowdies May 6 at Cap City Comedy Club. Red Hot Jazz from Dallas will delight Austin for 3 fabulous hours.

Ron Fink and the Rowdies made their Austin Traditional Jazz Society debut last year and what a concert it was - quite possibly the best of the season!
The Rowdies favor the professional-level written arrangements. They have the classical training to read these intricate charts, and the innate jazz sense to make them swing. It’s a great combination and one that is difficult to bring off. ATJS strives to bring in festival-level groups if possible, and the Rowdies are coming off an appearance at the Denton Jazz Festival.
Based in Dallas, the Rowdies feature these fine musicians: Bob Krenkel on reeds, Brian Standridge on trumpet and Gene LeBeaux on trombone. Banjoist Scott Whitfield is nationally-known, and bassist Matt Tolentino is a multi-instrument talent. Kent Ellingson is a fine pianist, and Ron Fink holds the group together on drums. This will be an incredible concert and not to be missed!
