Description
Latin Grammy winner Vicente Amigo and his fabulous troupe from southern Spain return to Austin! Come early for free tapas on the Long Center’s breathtaking terrace, and then experience one of the greatest flamenco guitarists in the world in Dell Hall.
Event Details
A transcendent performer, composer and producer, Amigo burst onto the major stages of flamenco while still a teenager. Since then, he has earned a shelf full of awards, including a Latin Grammy for Ciudad de Las Ideas (City of Ideas) in 2001. Four years after his last album, and recently awarded with the Gold Medal of the Fine Arts by the Spanish government, Vicente is back with his most traditional flamenco album—the class of flamenco which is felt and expressed by very few artists.
Come early! Our FlamencoAustin party gets started at 6pm on the H-E-B Terrace with sangria, free tapas, and music & dancing from local flamenco artists.
