The Junior League of Austin’s 43rd annual A Christmas Affair, Joyeux Noël, will be held November 14-18 at Palmer Events Center. This year’s four-day holiday market is a vintage celebration of the season with a French flair. The Junior League of Austin uses the funds raised at A Christmas Affair to provide:
-- 1,400 Bags - Backpacks of food delivered each week during the school year through FIT - Food In Tummies program
-- 8 Signature Programs - Short-term and long-term efforts aimed at improving the community
-- 31 Community Projects - Support 31 local non-profits with volunteers and grant funds
-- 84 Years of Service - Working to make Austin a better place since 1934
-- 2,500 members - Women building community
-- 160,000 volunteer hours - Combined hours of service provided to the community by members
-- 35,000 coats - Coats distributed annually through Coats for Kids (CFK) program
-- 600 pairs of shoes - New athletic shoes provided to all children at a high-need elementary school through KICS - Kids in Cool Shoes program
This year A Christmas Affair will feature more than 200 merchants from across the country and The Junior League of Austin expects more than 25,000 shoppers to attend. Behind the scenes, a volunteer force of 1,300 League members staff the event, making every detail perfect for the guest. The holiday market opens to the public on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 12p.m., following a preview event on Wednesday, Nov. 14th.
***Market Hours***
Thursday, November 15th | Noon - 9 p.m.
Friday, November 16th | 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, November 17th | 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday, November 18th | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Tickets for Market Days are $15 per guest, which includes a shuttle ride to and from Barton Creek Mall along with hassle-free parking. Strollers and pull carts are not permitted in the venue
***Tea Room***
Join us in our beautifully decorated tea room, Salon de Noël, located on the upper level which will serve delicious lunches Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Salon de Noël, catered by Sterling Events & Catering, Tearoom Tickets are $17, plus tax.
***Children’s Events***
Breakfasts with Santa will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and
