We’re Back!
Year three - HUE Beauty and Natural Hair Affair is back in Austin during SXSW Powered By Shea Moisture. The FIRST women of color, natural hair event during the SXSW experience is back for the third year at the historical George Washington Carver African-American Museum. Over the last two years we have curated a tribe of amazing brands and businesses that come out with top quality products to showcase to the Austin and beyond community. We’ve had over 2500 women over the last two years come through our doors to experience this great event. With live music, hair demos and presentations in the theater we offer so much. In 2019 we are stepping it up with more experiential activations by brands that you have not seen at any other events and we have a very special presentation to be announced shortly.
HUE Affair is made possible because of our partnerships with mvmt50 a coalition of black thought leaders committed to sustained and systematic improvement in employment diversity, cultural representation and leadership development in the innovation, technological and digital sectors and soulciti an oganization that was launched in 1998 in Austin as a grassroots phenomenon to disseminate news and entertainment information of interest to African-Americans.
And of course we have the HUE Affair swag bag which is by far the best swag bag you will ever receive with over 10 full-size products valued well over $100. The first 300 women in line receive the swag bag and we also have a VIP ticket option which allows you FastTrack access to the event (NO WAITING IN LINE) and your bag is held for you no matter what time you arrive.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
You must be 17 or older to attend on you own. Children under 11 are free. Minimum of 2 children per ticket holder.
What's the refund policy?
There are no REFUNDS unless the event is canceled.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You can but we also can check in attendees via thier mobile device.
