Axe Fabrication and Throwing Competition In an effort to get a bunch of local fabricators together for some fun we are throwing the challenge out.
Event Details
Competion consists of two phases.
First rule-everybody is welcome to attend but if you want to compete, you must bring an axe you fabricated. Any combination of wood or metal working is allowed for the inagural event but it must be made by the entering contestant / shop. Single entries are allowed by a combined shop team if they desire, but will be treated as single entry. All axe's will be checked in and voted on for fabricators choice award. If its a team entry, they get to cast one vote. Winner of this award will be awarded cash prize (to be determined by number of entries) and bragging rights. Everybody entering will toss fifteen bucks into the pot that we will augment with donations at the door.
Second phase of the competition is the fun part. Axe throwing. We will have a practice round, followed by tournament seeding, Will determine single or double elimination week before depending on number of entries. Finishing order of the competition determines axe selection order. Winner of tournament gets first pick of axes and so on down the line. Come with your axe, leave with a piece of art made by someone else.
