Sailor and Lula have a love hotter than hell. Fresh out of Pee Dee Correction, Sailor grabs Lula and, on the run from Marietta, a red-lipped, wicked witch of a mother, the two barrel down a yellow-paved road through a high-octane, Frank Baum-inspired nightmare.
David Lynch followed the shocking grotesqueries of suburban America in BLUE VELVET with the flamboyant, Palme d’Or winning, speed metal hysterics of WILD AT HEART, which sees Laura Dern and Nic Cage as Elvis-crooning, star-crossed lovers, who love tender between marathon sex and chain-smoking, while in pursuit by private detective Johnnie Farragut (Harry Dean Stanton), who wants to find them – and gangsters Marcelles Santos (J.E. Freeman) and Bobby Peru (Willem Dafoe), who each want to put a bullet between their romance.
