Celebrate St. Patrick's Day on the Georgetown Square with Shillelagh! and Sean Orr & Celtic Texas at Barrels & Amps About this Event Texas-based "Celtedelic" and folk band Shillelagh!
Event Details
Texas-based "Celtedelic" and folk band Shillelagh! (pronounced Shi-LAY-lee) is a group of five or sometimes six veteran musicians performing a wide variety of living tradition music. Some of the material is original, and some can be traced back almost a thousand years. Although their name comes from the Irish Gaelic word for a hardwood walking stick (sometimes serving as a weapon), a typical show features only perhaps a quarter of Irish music alongside Renaissance, Medieval, original, and a few heavily reworked modern covers.
Co-headliner, Sean Orr (a 7th generation Texan), learned to sing and play the fiddle in the honky-tonks and dancehalls across Texas. Later on, he toured America's West and South in countless Country bands. Recently, Sean has played festivals in Canada and Europe. He also fronts "Celtic Texas", Irish and Scottish music with a Texas brogue.
Capacity is limited. Each ticket transaction will be seated as a table (2 to 8 tickets per transaction). Seat mapping will be based on a "first come " basis. In short, the sooner you purchase tickets, the closer your table will be to the stage. Masks are required under the City of Georgetown ordinance. Doors open at 6 pm. The music begins at 7 pm. Food and drink specials with an Irish flare will be available.
Thank you for supporting live music. Éirinn go Brách
