Permanently Closed.. DESIGN :: PRINT :: BUILD. Sanctuary Printshop was born in Austin, Texas in July of 2005. After a few years of working our asses off in small garages and we were blessed with our current location, a 5,000 square foot warehouse space on South Congress Avenue. Sanctuary houses a full design team, textile screen printing equipment, a studio for letterpressed and screen printed paper goods, a project workshop for welding and woodworking, a 1979 El Camino and a Cargo Bike that we've converted into a mobile screen printing presses.
Austin's local businesses are passionate and innovative and often ask for direction on the best way to visually communicate with their audiences. Together we work with our clients to discover new methods to get their message across. In addition to design and printing, Sanctuary has been contracted for interior and exterior design for our clients businesses and their special events. Over the last 8 years, we've done this for Alamo Drafthouse, Bacon Restaurant, iHeart Radio, Wahoo's Fish Taco, The Belmont, Division One Bicycles, Warner Sound, Bazaar Voice, and many others.
The staff at Sanctuary also has a background in graffiti and fine art, which led us into designing and producing hand painted murals and art installations. We love to create and are always working on new ideas for art. Our most recognizable mural is probably the "Welcome to Austin" mural on 6th Street and I-35. We also painted the "CASH" mural on Rio Grande and the "Welcome to South C
