Come help chart a course for organized bike advocacy in Austin for 2019 and beyond!
Bike Austin is at a major decision point. We need to rethink the future scope and activities of the organization, and identify new leaders to help move it forward.
The current board of Bike Austin is thinking that a broader summit in February or March, with a new board taking office at that time, could be a good way to renew and refresh the organization. This preliminary meeting on January 12 will provide an opportunity for those interested to weigh in and, if there’s agreement, start planning for a larger summit.
If you know of others who’d be interested in this, spread the word! We need help from both longtime supporters and others who have not been deeply involved with Bike Austin before. We’re counting on everyone to help us find a diverse, energetic crew of committed bike enthusiasts who are ready to ratchet up organized bike advocacy in Austin.
If you can, please register by Jan. 6, so we'll know how many people to expect. Hope to see you there!
