Event Details
On Sunday, February 16, the Austin Traditional Jazz Society presents a performance by Tommy Griffith and the New Orleans Jazz Band of Austin. Tommy Griffith (piano) is an Austin jazz legend. He has played all over the United States, most notably on riverboats on the Mississippi and Columbia Rivers. He has been leading jazz bands in Austin for about thirty years, the New Orleans Jazz Band of Austin for twelve of those years. As the name suggests, the New Orleans Jazz Band of Austin is steeped in the jazz traditions of New Orleans.
