Description

Modern Southern Cuisine . Olamaie is a modern Southern food restaurant set to open in Austin, Texas in 2014. In anticipation of moving into her permanent home at 1610 San Antonio Street, Olamaie will be offering pop-up dinners at some of the best restaurants in Texas. Each dinner will be a reflection of her desire to follow in the local and seasonal footsteps of those like Edna Lewis, Mama Dip and Bill Neal while using modern technique and execution. Come see true southern food that harkens back to a bygone era where flavors are clean, fresh and not everything is fried. Olamaie is the first name of Co-Executive Chef Michael Fojtasek's mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
