About Dripping Springs

A charming town with a past and a bright future, Dripping Springs is home to beautiful scenery, relaxing spas, and energetic music festivals. In early 1821, Stephen F. Austin and his party arrived at the springs. In 1831?32, a free-state stronghold was established here by Colonel William M. Burt and a group of Texas Patriots who called themselves "Higgins' Colony." Dripping Springs was renamed in 1876 after an interlude as Goat Hill. Finding the best events in Dripping Springs can be a challenge, which is why we created this guide.
