Rework Project sets out to bring lasting change and renewal to the city of Austin by bringing hope and dignity to those experiencing homelessness.. We are a jobs program rooted in the importance of community and catered toward men and women experiencing homelessness. ReWork Project provides the opportunity to build an income and invest in positive relationships, with the ultimate goal of seeing folks get into permanent housing. We promote a job-like atmosphere and social norms while encouraging intentional friendships and healthy community. We operate out of a woodshop in south Austin and believe that the opportunity to earn money by building sellable products can be a motivating and dignifying experience. We're convinced that this combined with the support of true friends and healthy expectations, can aid tremendously in one's path to permanent housing.
