It's A Great Day To Be Alive In Austin, Texas The Story Behind 365 Things Austin From Kristy Owen, Founder. I found myself doing the same things over and over again. In 2009, as I looked towards a new decade, a goal of mine was to get out, try new things and see all Austin had to offer. I had found myself going back to the same handful of favorite bars, restaurants, etc, rather than exploring things outside my comfort zone. Over 2,000 consecutive days of exploring new things to do in Austin. I set a New Year’s resolution to blog on one thing to do each day in Austin, Texas on January 1st, 2010. I enjoyed the adventure so much, that after the year was over, I just kept on going! I’ve now blogged on something fun to do each day for over 2,000 consecutive days, and I still manage to find new things to do each day in this amazing city! We want to share the best things Austin has to offer each day! My goal isn’t to tell you EVERYTHING there is to do in Austin on any particular day, I filter through all the noise to give you the BEST things to do for a given day. These posts are all just opinions, and I’m by no means an expert on most things discussed here (with the exception of Mexican food and margaritas perhaps).
