DK Maria's Legendary Tex Mex

With iconic flavors and a vibrant, comfortable and lively atmosphere, DK Maria's brings authenticity back to Tex-Mex in the heart of South Austin! Coming soon in late May 2017. DK Maria traces her ancestors back to Cruillas, Mexico, whose inhabitants followed Captain King to Texas. Through five generations, her family rode with the bandit Chino Cortina, cooked in the cow camps of South Texas, fed the armies at the Alamo (both sides!) and drank with the author Hemingway. She, herself, lived the wild life of Texas bordertowns and Austin in the '80s and '90s.

From her rich heritage and "spicy" life, she brings her "legendary" family recipes...born at vaquero campfires, the kitchens of Mexican and South Texas "royalty"...and a few "joints" along the way.
