This is a fun park! The mermaids are something special and there is some cool scuba diving in the spring before the park opens. Worth the trip!
This is the best sushi in town! They've got unique pairings and everything I've ever eaten has been delicious. I don't live in Gainesville anymore, but I still make a point to visit whenever I'm in town. Make a reservation!
A fun and eclectic dining hot spot in Downtown Gainesville. The menu is classic Latin and oh so yummy!
This is a beautiful hotel and a great location. We were able to walk to several things close to the hotel. The back of the hotel has a walking trail and large grassy areas to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. I would definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to Austin!
Cons: Downtown parking is always a challenge in most cities.

Classic barbecue entrees served here! The wrap around front porch is great for enjoying the outdoors.
Beautiful theatre in downtown St Pete
Pros: Intimate feeling inside, plenty of walk around space outside
Cons: Parking can be limited and confusing - plot your plan of action before you get in the car!
ATTENTION: The annual Light Up Tampa Bay event has MOVED locations for NYE 2018 in Channelside. The fireworks show and viewing area will be at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park.
The event has moved locations this year. It will be located at Cotanchobee Park and limited to up to 4,000 people. I don't think they are doing wristbands for this event.
Great question Michelle! I have a call into Channelside and trying to find out. Will post the reply as soon as I hear from someone.
Great seafood dishes - especially their oyster salad!
Pros: They have non-seafood menu items for all the landlubbers in your group. Parking is plentiful in the strip center too.
Old Salty Dog is a Sarasota favorite! They've got seafood and American staples sure to please everyone at your table. Their conch fritters are delicious!
Pros: Three locations - Siesta Key, City Island, and Venice Island!
