Another one of the popular festivals in Austin is the Old Pecan Street Festival. This festival is full of entertainment. Aside from free entertainment, this festival also includes food, drinks, crafts, and more that people can purchase.

One of the most popular events in Austin is The Republic of Texas Biker Rally. The community holds this event whether it's rain or shine, and the event lasts for three days. For those who enjoy running, the Austin Marathon is a fun, free way for people of all ages to get out and socialize while taking part in this running event.

The number of free things to do in Austin Texas for fun and recreation are quite endless. There are tours, free museums, tons of festivals, and even parades. Austin also holds something called Movies in the Park at Republic Square, which is free as well.
