“That Look In Your Eye is one of the last songs I wrote for The Ineffable Truth and also one of my personal favorites on the album. I want to give a special shout to my friend Victor Mosquera who created the beautiful art for the single as well as the animated video assets for the live show.” - G Jones
"That Look In Your Eye" shows us a raw, emotional and cinematic side of The Ineffable Truth, as Jones takes a songwriters’ approach and teaches his computer to sing. The composition revolves around a computer generated vocal lead which teems with an uncanny immediacy: a heartfelt refrain belted out in 1’s and 0’s. The song builds to a climactic finish, as tempo melts away and the vocal solo takes on a time-stopping, larger-than-life presence- an absolute showstopper of a finish.
Every single from The Ineffable Truth has exhibited both the production chops and musical sensibility that G Jones is known for. That Look In Your Eye shows us Jones at his best, and further justifies high praise he earned from electronic music legends like DJ Shadow, who calls Jones "the most gifted Ableton beatmaker I've ever seen,” and Aphex Twin, who played Jones’ music during at least two of his rare live performances last year. With top publications like Rolling Stone touting him a "studio wizard" and Billboard heaping praise on his music, it's safe to say that the anticipation for G Jones’ debut album The Ineffable Truth, and headline A/V tour of the same name, is reaching a fever pitch.
