Event Details
You don't need a sense of humor, just an open mind and willingness to play along.
Whether you're an entrepreneur, a creative, a banker, or everything in between....this series on the off stage application of improv concepts will hold nuggets of wisdom you can apply in your work and broader life for outcomes like better presence/listening, more connected conversations/relationships, greater access to your creativity and innovative thinking, and strengthened resilience in the face of stressful and overwhelming situations.
In this session, we will explore how surprising results can emerge at home or in the office when we dare boldly to build on other people's offers, the improv concept of "making your partner look good" and the concept of "following the follower" as an alternative to traditional leadership. Come learn how parking our egos and looking for ways to serve a larger goal can lead to unexpected and wonderful outcomes.

About the Teacher
Joey Neugart is a recovering lawyer and surviving executive of two Bay Area start-ups that churned through staff in the pursuit of bigger, better, faster, more revenue growth. While battling the mental and physical health consequences of burn-out in the fall of 2011, he stumbled on, and was instantly hooked by the study of theatrical improvisation which he has pursued with Keith Johnstone as well as teachers from BATS Improv, Second City Chicago, Saturday Night Live, and other fine institutions.
