Since 1998, Mexic-Arte Museum’s Taste of Mexico has become one of the leading Mexican and Latin American inspired culinary events of the year. This culturally conscious and historical celebration of Cinco de Mayo invites guests to generously sample creative cuisines from over 50 of Austin’s most eclectic and exciting restaurants, food trucks, and beverage purveyors. Alongside fine tequilas and mezcales, Taste of Mexico will expose attendees to regional specialties and contemporary fusions that boast a rich array of flavors and influences.

With the leadership of our Taste of Mexico Committee Chair Niel Diaz, and Committee Members Jenny Abraham, Olga Campos, Tamra K. Jones, Jose Murillo, William Rojas, Jill E. Smith, Dana Tomlin, Withers Turner, and Tania Rodriguez, Mexic-Arte Museum is thrilled to present this year's Taste of Mexico, exploring indigenous influences in Mexican and Latin American Cuisine.

Cost: $50 Museum Members; $60 General Admission; $75 VIP Access.*

*VIP access includes early entrance at 5:30pm, a complimentary raffle ticket, and priority admission throughout the event.

Taste of Mexico serves to support Mexic-Arte Museum’s art education programs. Over the past thirty-four years, the Museum has empowered Austin youth through its exemplary art education programs. Proceeds from this event allow the Museum to continue to enrich the lives of over 10,000 children and families annually in the Austin area through its family days, internships, tours, and SCREEN IT! Program, which is regarded as one of the best in the nation having received the prestigious 2016 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award, a project of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities presented by Honorary Chairman, First Lady Michelle Obama.
