Description
Guero's Taco Bar in Austin, TX has been a popular South Austin taqueria since 1986, when owners Rob and Cathy Lippencott opened a modest restaurant on East Oltorf Street. In the fall of 1994 they purchased the 100 year old Central Feed and Seed building on South Congress and began renovation. This friendly and now historic atmosphere sports decor and photos form the Mexican Revolution. Guero's also offers sidewalk dining, a bright and airy enclosed patio and a garden where you can enjoy live music, cerveza & margaritas under the live oaks!

Even though this restaurant is in the middle of a tourist destination it definitely isnt tourist food. One of the best Tex Mex restaurants in Austin by far.
Pros: Great food and even better drinks.
Cons: As with any business on south congress, there's not a lot of parking.
