The 14th Annual Staple Independent Media Expo takes place September 8-9 at the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex with over 200 artists and creators. Highlights include a live art show benefit, educational panels and family activities from the Pflugerville Public Library.
The convention takes place over two days with vendors showcasing independently made comics, zines, art, crafts and games. Visitors can interact with artists, sit in on tutorials and panels on subjects such as creating webcomics and writing for videogames, and enjoy refreshments from the venue’s full service food court.
Hours for the expo are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 8 and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 9. Tickets are available at the door, one-day passes are $10 and two-day passes are $15. Students and military personnel can get a discounted two-day pass for $10 with a valid ID. The event is free for kids 12 and younger.
