It’s that time of year again! You won’t want to miss this year’s Girls Impact the World Film Festival with presenting sponsor Eloise DeJoria, held on Sunday, April 14 at St. Andrew's Dell Fine Arts Theater in Austin, Texas.
Event Details
We’ll give out $25,000 in awards, screen films, and hear inspiring words from media personalities and fellow filmmakers at our Red Carpet and Awards Event. Prior to the Red Carpet Event and Awards, we are offering another year of exciting panels with industry insiders. We will hear from female leaders about how they overcame challenges to succeed and create impact.

Speakers and Panelists:
Elizabeth Avellán is the Co-Owner and Vice President of Troublemaker Studios and President of EYA Productions. Troublemaker’s first feature was the 2001 hit Spy Kids. In addition to producing family genre films that have collectively grossed over a billion dollars, she has played a primary role in developing Austin, Texas as a thriving film community. Avellán began her producing career when she co-founded Los Hooligans Productions in 1991 with Robert Rodriguez as the two began their feature film project, El Mariachi. During the past decade, Avellán has produced a dozen films.
Umaimah Mendhro is the Founder & CEO of VIDA, an e-commerce company that brings mindful global citizenship and an impeccable sense of taste to style-seekers around the world through carefully selected artistic partnerships and responsibly sourced, beautiful products that connect designers, producers, and consumers.
