Event Details

Unlocking Youth Insights through Film is a fundraising event that will invite audiences inside Maya Guatemala and the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. A discussion will follow the youth-produced film screening, providing testimonials from guest speakers who will emphasize the importance of digital storytelling.

Guest Speakers/Discussion Facilitators:

• BenAlex Dupris, a Firelight Media, Concordia Studio, and Sundance Producers Fellow
• Rubén Cantú, Executive Director of the Office of Inclusive Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UT Austin.



6 PM Doors open.
6 PM - 7 PM: Interactives, Refreshments, Music, Sales items: Maya and Lumbee Art, Coffee, Chocolate, etc!
7 PM - 8 PM: Film Screening, testimonials.
8 PM - 9 PM: Panel discussion, audience Q & A.
9 PM - 10 PM: Mingling and Silent Auction.
