Boundaries: Including all 10 districts of Austin, plus a 15 mile radius from the Capitol. Some restrictions may apply.

The Austin Studio Tour 2020 is a free, self-guided art event that combines the East Austin Studio Tour and West Austin Studio Tour to provide opportunities for artists all over Austin to connect with each other and for the public to experience art in creative virtual ways and socially distanced outdoor spaces. While artist studios are at the core of Big Medium’s studio tours, this event is also inclusive of all forms of artistic practice, creation, performance, and exhibition.

With the city’s health regulations at the forefront, the Austin Studio Tour will focus on a virtual experience featuring artists on a robust online platform. For the safety of our artists and our audience, Big Medium cannot coordinate or support indoor activities of any kind. The website will include artist profiles, images of art, virtual studio visits, demonstrations and artists talks. The tour will also include outdoor installations and public art that can be safely visited to allow for real life art experiences. Artists working within the 10 districts of Austin, and up to a 15 mile radius from the Capitol, are encouraged to apply.
