A Thanksgiving Day tradition that benefits Caritas of Austin, a non-profit organization, and includes a 5-mile run, 1-mile walk, and a Kids' K. Join in the fun at the most popular Turkey Trot in Austin!
Event Details
It’s time for the 31st Annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot
-A Live (and virtual) Event-
You are welcome to pick up packets for friends and family members.
Parking
Parking is available at Palmer Events Center. Other parking areas are TBA.
Biking and ride-sharing to the event are encouraged.
Ride-sharing drop-off should be in front of One Texas Center on S. 1st just south of Barton Springs Rd.
Schedule of Events
7:00 – 9am — Registration/Packet Pickup
8:45am — Stepping Stone School Kids K
9:25am — Wheelchair Start
9:30am — Timed 5-mile
9:35am — Untimed 5-mile
9:50am — 1-mile walk/run
10:45am — Trophy Pickup Begins
History
The ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot, one of Austin’s most beloved Thanksgiving traditions, started in 1991 with just a handful of volunteers and 600 participants. Today it has grown to be the largest 5-mile run in Texas, with more than 700 volunteers and over 20,000 participants from all over the U.S. and beyond. Last year during the Covid shutdown, nearly 7,000 participated in our first-ever virtual event!
Be sure to sign up and join in the fun and support for the 2021 ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot.
