Holiday Crafts at French Legation State Historic Site

Visit the French Legation State Historic Sites on Saturday, December 3rd to make your own historically accurate Christmas decorations. Learn how to make your own ornaments, pomanders, and more in the home’s detached kitchen. Materials will be available on a first come, first served basis with choice in craft(s) left to the participant. Visitors can make a variety of ornaments (natural straw ornaments, woven hearts, pomanders) or participate in our partnership with Brush Square Museums to make their own salt dough “gingerbread cookie” ornaments. Participants can take their crafts home with them or leave them at the French Legation to decorate the site’s tree.
