OUR AUSTIN SOUND: Women of Antone’s

Recorded for broadcast in front of a live audience at The Austin Club, OUR AUSTIN SOUND: Women of Antone’s is the first in a new series of fundraising initiatives supporting the Austin History Center in its 90th year, including both a moderated conversation and musical performance from local legends who have been pivotal to the city’s entertainment landscape. Moderated by Antone’s long-time booker Zach Ernst, these founding Blues women will be featured:

● Lou Ann Barton
● Sue Foley
● Ruthie Foster
● Eve Monsees
● and special guest, Susan Antone
Ernst will moderate a chat amongst these women to discuss the oral history of their paths and tunes, and will also highlight voices from emerging Austin artists for whom these women have paved the way for – a crucial record of Austin’s music history for generations to come. “Women of Antone’s” will also pay tribute to Antone’s legends such as Lavelle White, Barbara Lynn, Angela Strehli, Jackie Venson and more.

Tickets: $150 for AHCA members, $250 for the public.
