The Fiestas Patrias of Austin Cinco de Mayo Fiesta 2013 is taking place from May 4-5 at Fiesta Gardens Park in Downtown Austin.
This 8th annual celebration of Cinco de Mayo in Austin will commemorate the rich culture, heritage, and history of Mexico and its victory from France in 1862.
The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta will feature a variety of Tejano and Conjunto bands playing traditional instruments like accordion and bajo sexto guitar to get everyone moving and having a great time at this annual festival. Bands set to perform at Fiestas Patrias of Austin Cinco de Mayo Fiesta 2013 include Gary Hobbs, Da Krazy Pimpzs, Baraja de Oro, Joel Guzman y Sara Fox, Los Fantasmas del Valle, Yayo Castillo y grupo Rumores, and many more.
Of course, there will be plenty of traditional, Mexican food on sale for all to enjoy as well as hamburgers, barbecue brisket, hot spicy chicken wings, corn on the cob and more.
