WHAT IS JUMP ON THE BUS: Join TexProtects' "Jump on the Bus with Us" for our Prevent Child Abuse Texas Advocacy Day at the Texas State Capitol. We will depart our Dallas headquarters at 7:00 AM on a chartered bus to Austin (not a school bus!). Once we arrive at the Capitol, we will meet our Austin Policy team and meet with Texas Legislators to educate them on top child protection priorities with a focus on preventing child trauma, neglect and abuse.
WHY WE ADVOCATE: Legislators take up issues that are important to their constituents. At TexProtects, child protection is our number one priority. Organizing coordinated advocacy events like Jump on the Bus help educate lawmakers about key child protection issues that ultimately help shape and pass legislation to protect children.
