Join the City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department for the Easter Egg-Stravaganza!
Event Details
On Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gregg Clarke Park, 1301 W. Center St.
There will be food vendors, a live DJ, free carnival games, face painting, age-specific egg hunts, a photo contest and the Easter Bunny will be on-site for pictures. We will have 3 drops (1 per age group) in each hour.
Egg Drop Schedule:
Drop 1:
10:30 a.m. beginning with children ages 10, 11, & 12
*Followed by 7, 8,& 9 year olds
*Followed by 4, 5, & 6 year olds.
Drop 2:
11:30 a.m. beginning with children ages 10, 11, & 12
*Followed by 7, 8,& 9 year olds
*Followed by 4, 5, & 6 year olds.
Drop 3:
12:30 p.m. beginning with children ages 10, 11, & 12
*Followed by 7, 8,& 9 year olds
*Followed by 4, 5, & 6 year olds.
Egg Drop for People with Disabilities/Toddler Zone:
There will be an egg drop zone for those with disabilities as well as a Toddler Zone, beginning at 10:30 a.m. These zones are for those who need assistance with the drops.
Event parking is limited. Parking will be available at the following locations:
-Gregg-Clarke Park
-Post Office
-AMVETS parking lot.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in the Easter Photo Contest! Get into the Easter spirit and submit a photo to agarcia@cityofkyle.com. The last day for image submissions is April 25. Winners will be notified by email by April 30. The Kyle Parks and Recreation Department will choose the top 5 photos and the winners will receive a gift basket courtesy of the Kyle Parks and Recreation Department!
*A contest image submission gives the City of Kyle permission to use the image on promotional material and/or social media platforms.*
The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteers. If you wish to become a volunteer please contact Recreation Manager, Aimee Garcia at agarcia@cityofkyle.com or call 512-262-3939.
