Austin is a great city known for its live music, so it is only fitting that July 4th celebrations across the area will feature live music entertainment to accompany the firework displays. Artists big and small will play across the 512area to celebrate our independence. Every genre will be featured in all types of venues, reaching to the small towns surrounding the Austin area. Unfortunately, it is simply impossible to attend all shows, so we have created a list to help guide you to pick the best event for you. 

Austin Symphony presents: H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks

Get ready to sit back and listen to the sweet, soothing sounds of the Austin Symphony Orchestra in their annual free concert celebrating our Independence Day. Roughly 100,000 people will crowd the Auditorium Shores park to take in the breathtaking sound while sipping on drinks and munching on food.  Following the concert, dazzling fireworks will soar a mile into the sky. Overall, this event promises to create a pristine atmosphere for all to enjoy.

Willie Nelson's 4th Of July Picnic presented by Budweiser

Jam out to a star-studded cast headlined by Texas’s own Willie Nelson. Artists from all over will be playing at Austin360 Amphitheater. Other artists include the folksy, alternative tunes of the Head and the Heart as well as the classic country artist Sturgill Simpson. The music will not disappoint, so this may just be the ideal way to celebrate the day.

Bob Schneider's Independence Day Celebration

Celebrate the day away with Bob Schneider, an up and coming alternative singer who has played practically every venue across Austin. He was previously the lead singer of Ugly Americans who toured with the Dave Matthews Band. Whether you are an avid fan or not, this concert offers the chance to set up lawn chairs with friends and listen to some good music, Austin style. Tickets range from $20-$100, and the event will take place in the Nutty Brown Amphitheatre.

Bikes, Fireworks, and the Soul Supporters

For the more active Texans, The ABGB is hosting a 4th event that is full of dancing to the R&B, blues and soul sounds of The Soul Supporters. The great live music will be supported by pizza and beer. After you sufficiently eat and drink enough, hop on your bike to join in on the group ride to Auditorium Shores for a firework show above the city skyline.

Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Celebration

Head out to the Hill Country Galleria for a day full of shopping, jamming to live music, and scarfing down great food. Stroll the sidewalks that are lined with displays from your favorite stores. Meanwhile, Vallejo will provide some live music, adding to the event’s flare. Finally, sit back and watch the fireworks burst into the sky for arguably one of the best shows in the city.

Leander Liberty Fest

Just north of downtown Austin, the city of Leander is hosting their annual Liberty Fest, full of live music, delicious food, children’s activities and a firework display. They have a full music lineup with music from Casey Donahew, Stoney Larue, Melissa Lawson and Departure ATX. This will be the perfect Austin Fourth event with everything you could possibly hope for, so it is definitely worth checking out!

Kyle Independence Day Celebration

The town of Kyle has a full day of events planned for the holiday. The peak of the day will take place at night with a beautiful display of fireworks launched from the Plum Creek Golf Course. The Golf Course will also be hosting a tournament in the afternoon followed by more celebration with live music, hot d, gs and drinks. The Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (PAC) will also be hosting an event featuring the Psychic Cowboys and the Starlight Symphony Orchestra, both of which end just in time for you to escape and see the firework show.  

Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival

For all you Pflugervillians, your lovely town is opening up its The Pfield to host food trucks, games, crafts and face painting, accompanied by Suede for some live music. All of these events are simply warming you up for the firework show at the end of the night. Overall, this event promises to be pfun and pfabulous!

New Braunfels 4th of July Spectacular

If your perfect 4th of July day features both live music and fireworks then this is the event for you. Not only does the New Braunfels Fourth of July Spectacular offer these events, but it is also 100% free. Make sure to claim your spot at the Landa Park Golf Course in preparation for the big event. This is one that will not disappoint.
