Tourists come for it, locals moved for it, and the city thrives on it: Austin’s culture is one to be marveled! But it seems with our busy lives, it's hard to find the time to stop and admire the city around us. Rather than walking the streets or attempting to fight the traffic by car, tourists and locals alike are able to take in the city by bike. Whether you're exploring on your own time or prefer a guided tour, Austin Bike Tours and Rentals have a team of professionals with 50 years of combined experience in riding bikes around the city.

Getting Around the City with Austin Bike Tours and Rentals

Bike Rentals

Austin Bike Tours and Rentals offers a line of multi-speed city bikes for any urban adventure you have in mind as each of their bikes is equipped with racks, water bottle cages, and simple shifters. Rentals also include lock, lights, helmet (optional), and roadside assistance as well as bike maps and great suggestions for local restaurants and site-seeing in Austin. Reservations are for three-hour bike rentals or longer, and one-hour rentals are available for walk-up customers. Online reservations must be made at least 12 hours in advance, and you must present a photo ID and credit card to rent out a bike.

Festival Rentals

When the traffic in Austin gets hectic during festival season, biking is your ideal for transportation. If you don't happen to own one or are in town for the festival experience, you can rent a bike for multiple days from Austin Bike Tours and Rentals. For the SXSW and ACL Festival customers, there is a three-day minimum for advanced reservations during the dates of those events.

Tours

If you're in town for a few days or are a local looking to get reacquainted with the city, Austin Bike Tours and Rentals have a variety of guided tour options including Austin landmark tours; a tour of lakes, springs and bridges, and even a tour of Austin icons consisting of a leisurely two-hour ride through some of Austin's most memorable and historic neighborhoods. The Austin Experience Tours include a Texas craft beer tour, a yoga tour that stops at Butler Park for a one-hour yoga class, and an art and architecture tour that travels a route showcasing some of Austin's greatest creative pieces and architectural styles. Any of their bike tours can be customized to your needs whether you're going for a bachelorette party, family reunion, and company team-building outing. Group and military discounts are also available, and each tour requires a minimum of two participants.
